So... really. How are you all? I have been out of here for a while, and I am too lazy and daunted by the number of back pages to read them until a big paper comes up that needs procrastinating.

So anyone who cruises by, please feel free to tell me about your life at the present. Or what book you are reading, or that you enjoyed reading recently? songs? movies? shows? pets? loved ones or lack thereof? anyone been to the moon or Polaris recently?
or planet b-12?

I got a Law and Economics degree, I'm working for a huge sharky firm here and the boss says he wants to marry me, had a fight with Sarabiga last night, we ended up crying and saying I love you's while sort of drowning in nose-mucus (why do people say crying is romantic?).

My doggie's pretty fine, apart from some dental issues (but he's 14 now).

I failed the exam for my driving licence: that's pretty lame, but it still looks cool to take taxi's, let the company pay...

They payed for a laptop too. The day after my pc at home died. And I mean DIED.
Damn!

It's spring and allergy is not that bad...

Things are complicated, but according to Peter Parker, I'm getting better and better.

If only I could learn to be less self-centred...but...hey...I'm an Aries!

Things are doing good here. Dan and I are still scary gooey and stuff (but don't tell him I said so.) He's looking for a job because the store he worked at just closed. Stranger and Pixie have settled in, and Pixie's pretty much running things here now. Work's been kind of crazy lately, because we're short handed right now, since the co-auditor quit and one of the day shifter's has taken the position. She's done well as far as training, and last week we threw the baby in the water to see if she could swim and she actually managed to dogpaddle to shore. I'm considering declaring a fatwa against the tech support people I've been dealing with for the last month. I've been taking antidepressents since Septemberish, and they actually seem to be working. My mom's Alzheimer's seems to be currently under check.

Things are good, they're bad, and they're weird. You know, the usual.

I've been on sick leave since last June, with colitis & depression. It's been awful, but since Dec it's slowly been getting better.
I have a GF! Sheri and I have actually bumped into each other over the years (Winnipeg is a small town of 650,000 eh?) she's got 2 kitties and is what Americans call a J.P. (she marries people, it's more a hobby than a payin job tho)
My kitties are fat and happy All 3 of them.

Well, let's see...

I quit full time at Kohl's. So money will be tight, but I will be saner.

Job hunting and stuff.

Sin City the movie looks like it is going to be great, so that is something I am looking forward to...

I'm totally disgusted with our Congress right now. To think I pay for them to legislate private lives while they screw up the country makes me burn.

My kitty cats are doing fine, I'm going to attempt to shave Mousey's fur mats on my own. Cheaper, but bloodier, I am sure.

The website is a bit slow right now, but still seems to be doing well. Who knows, maybe by the end of the year I won't have work on anything else.

Good to see you Tyle! *hugs*

I'm still in school and still not working.

Am listening to two cd's by The Donnas and am excited about rock music again.

Just finished some books by/about Hunter Thompson, then will probably read some plays.

Am still writing letters to the paper about gay marriage, one of which really stirred the pot and received about 5 responses, to which I've sent in a response today.

13th wedding anniversary is coming up soon.

How are you? I get a bit concerned when I don't see you here, especially when your last posts were about slamming into a tree and massive headaches and all.

crazy, has it really been that long since I've been here? my goodness! well, let's see...

I had that concussion for a while, the last of the minor symptoms didn't go away for almost six months, and for four of those months i was almost completely useless. Got over the concussion, got bit by a spider and had to go on steroids, then went straight into mono. which bombed that semester, and I just slept the following spring away. dated a guy for a couple months, but it wasn't worth my time. he lied a lot, and yelled at me for being angry all the time. Which is weird, since I am rarely angry.

Somewhere in there my youngest brother went to Canada for a year and barely talked to us, which was better than when he was home and wouldn't talk at all. Then he came home, and while he's still a little weird, he's talking to us again and actually hanging out with us as friends instead of dealing with us as estranged family.

Got over the mono and went back to school, managed a semester with nothing worse than a cold. My sister brought her boyfriend home for a week during Christmas break and we all loved him.
Then I had a semi major surgery this february in which one of my fallopian tubes tried to kill me, so they slapped it down and took it out.

I now have a really nifty scar on my belly, its actually pretty cool. And I got away with tickling people for over a month with no reprisals, since the doctor gave strict orders about no poking me in the belly. Unfortunately, the last couple weeks have been payback time. My friends did NOT forget. And a small nifty scar on my bellybutton too. They cut me open in two places.

My cats are fat and happy, most of the time. My sister recently announced that she is going to marry her boyfriend, who I guess is now her fiancee, and its happening this summer. So I get to be a bridesmaid at the wedding of a friend, and the maid of honor at my sister's wedding. I'm one of the only people I know around here who isn't having a baby, recently married, getting married, or seriously thinking about marriage. MAybe that's because I don't even have a boyfriend, I dunno.

I still have a year left to finish my theology undergraduate degree, thanks to the mono and concussion. I am enjoying it, but I would really like to graduate some time soon.

Life is actually pretty good, despite the list of weird illnesses. Its the kind of really good though where there isn't anything to report, so you don't get much more than that string of illness reports. And you get those because I think they are funny.

I've discovered that red bean ice cream with warm coconut milk on top is good. Despite sounding yuck.

I read a good book by Viktor Frankl called "Man's Search for Meaning", which I recommend. I was recently shown "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and I think that's pretty cool too. If you haven't seen Constantine yet, it is good for a lot of laughs.

That's what I've got. And some rum balls. anyone want some?

I have no idea what a fatwa is, but I do know that driving in Italy is scary as hell.

*Eats a rumball*

Hmmmm, where do I start? I don't remember what I was doing last we talked, but I'm sure I was either on my way to Maryland or already there. Had an interesting 2 year relationship with an asshole (Well, I didn't know he was an asshole until we broke up and I saw the light). I was best friends with that guys sisters and had a good two years or so playing job roulette and whatnot. Got pregnant. Moved back with the 'rents so that I could be a stay at home mom for a while, now I'm in search of a good daycare center and a job. I am also considering going back to school to finish my degree in forensic biology. My kid is almost eight months old now and cute as hell... IMHO.

Jax,

Just because you are buying a house DOESN'T mean you have to wreck the car! That was some bad advice you got...

More seriously, are you ok and all that?

ETA:

On a more positive note, a group I am with that is publishing Yuri Manga in the US got a big boost yesterday. We are using Diamond the comic distributor to distribute the book and got a a mention on a retailer news site. This could be a very big year for our little company. Who knows, 2005 could turn out to be a great year!
